Passion Productions, based in Brisbane, is a dynamic and award-winning theatre company committed to delivering high-quality theatrical experiences. With a core mission to support local talent, Passion Productions creates thought-provoking, uplifting performances that range from contemporary musicals like Islander and 35MM to family-friendly adaptations such as Alice: A Journey Through Wonderland. The company not only focuses on artistry but also on inclusivity, offering accessible performances and opportunities to underrepresented groups in the community. What's Included?

🌟 Five Days of Professional Drama Training
Led by multi-award-winning teachers, your child will explore acting, stagecraft, singing & voice technique, and expressive skills, making this more than just a workshop – it’s an experience in professional theatre training. For students interested in script writing there will also be a Writing for Stage 101 class!

Dance

Mabelle Maynard

Mabelle Maynard, a dancer, actor and singer from Brisbane, has just completed her third year studying Musical Theatre at the Queensland College of Dance. Across her training she has studied Broadway Jazz, Fosse, Ballet, Commercial Jazz, Contemporary, Ballroom and Tap. Her 15 years of in-depth dance training has given her a wealth of knowledge and understanding of stylistic movement, leading her to shift into choreography for musical theatre and contemporary. Her recent credits include roles such as Alice in Alice by Heart (2024), 35MM: A Musical Exhibition (2024), Celisse in Godspell (2023) and as a featured soloist in A Tale of Two Cities (2023) and Sondheim (2022).

Additionally, she has ventured into the realm of film, starting with her first lead role in the 2023 short film "Out of Reach" in the role of Jane. Mabelle's love for performing started early on with ballet and later extended to Musical Theatre in recent years. Since then, she's been passionate and dedicated, always working to improve her craft and impact crowds with unique performances.

Singing, Acting, Writing & Directing

Connor Clarke

Connor Clarke is an accomplished Australian actor, director, producer, and educator with nearly two decades of experience across theatre, film, television, voice-over, and commercials. Renowned for his versatility and dedication to the craft, he has received numerous accolades, including awards for Best Actor, Best Direction, and Writing. His theatre credits include standout performances in productions such as Wicked, Les Misérables, The Addams Family, and Big Fish The Musical. On screen, he has appeared in high-profile films like Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales and Danger Close, as well as the award-winning short film Effigy.

Connor’s contributions extend beyond acting; as a producer, he was instrumental in the success of two Matilda Award-nominated plays: Daddy Long Legs (Best Musical) and Against the Wall (Best Independent Play). With over eight years of teaching experience, Connor has mentored aspiring actors and singers, many of whom have gone on to achieve professional success. His expertise, passion for storytelling, and commitment to his students make him a respected leader in the performing arts community.

Acting & Singing

Stephanie Collins

Stephanie Collins is a classically trained soprano with a vast portfolio of theatrical performances. Her notable roles include Amy in Company, Maria in The Sound of Music, Rona Lisa Peretti in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Fiona in Shrek, the Baker's Wife in Into the Woods, Cosette in Les Misérables, Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Sandy in Grease, and Rapunzel in Into the Woods.

In 2023, Stephanie's was recognized at the Gold Palm Theatre Awards, where she was nominated as a finalist in the categories of Best Supporting Actress in a Musical and Best Actress in a Musical for her portrayals of Maria in The Sound of Music and Rona Lisa Peretti in the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee respectively. She won the Best Supporting Actress award.

Beyond her stage career, Stephanie is dedicated to early childhood education, working as a kindergarten teacher and children's entertainment performer. Her passion for the arts and education underscores her commitment to nurturing young talent through creativity and performance.
